Highlights & Annual Report 2017-2018

Dear Graland Community,

It is a pleasure and an honor to work with the Graland Alumni Board and the school leadership to represent, support and engage with Graland alumni. We are most grateful to Ronni McCaffrey for her warm and open invitation to all alumni; at our regular meetings, alumni events, and informal visits to campus, she consistently extended a welcoming hand and sincere greeting. We are also excited to work more closely with Josh Cobb as he moves into this critical leadership role.

Alumni show up in many different ways at Graland:

·      97 current parents are also Graland alumni
·      6 trustees are also Graland alumni
·      14 former trustees are also Graland alumni
·      12 grandparents are also Graland alumni

In 2016-17, alumni volunteered as guest speakers and as many as 450 joined us for events such as the fall cocktail party, the winter young alumni event, and spring reunion, as well as ASCEND events that were open to the entire Graland community! Alumni also showed their support with donations to both the ASCEND campaign and this year’s annual fund totaling $2,564,977.66 from 263 families.

From all of us, we are grateful to you, our loyal alumni donors who contribute financially and volunteer your time to return to campus in a variety of different ways.

Alumni Board Mission Statement

The Alumni Board recognizes that our alumni are the main link to Graland’s past. Therefore, it is our responsibility to foster this unique relationship to enhance the present environment and help shape the future experiences of generations to come. We seek to achieve this by encouraging alumni involvement with the school, representing alumni interests and advocating life-long learning in accordance with the mission and long-standing traditions of the school.
